Randy Orton def. Kurt Angle

As at One Night Stand, these two provided a great opening match for the PPV. Home-Ring Advantage belonged to Orton this time, but the two put on a very good match to get Vengeance on its way.

Umaga def. Eugene

Umaga was in this one. Take a bathroom break on this one. Umaga, Joe's gonna kill you.

2 out of 3 Falls Match
Ric Flair def. Mick Foley 2-0

This one had potential to bring some momentum back into the PPV after Umaga/Eugene killed it. Foley lost, but bloodied Flair up afterwards.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Johnny Nitro def. Shelton Benjamin (Champion) and Carlito

Now this match brought the momentum back, the match of the night nominee featured some very good spots with all three competitors and really got the crowd back into it after the past two sleepers. The match also featured a few good spots involving all three wrestlers.

WWE Championship
Rob Van Dam (Champion) def. Edge

If anyone had any doubts that Edge could have a good match, this one should prove you wrong. RVD and Edge worked very well together on this one. This one brought the crowd to their feet and was a truly remarkable one to watch.

"Kane" def. Kane

Suprisingly, for a big man vs. big man match, this one was good...up until the end. Kane had all this momentum, then "Kane" hits one chokeslam and it was over. Lame.

Extreme Lumberjack Match
John Cena def. Sabu

In the past, Lumberjack matches haven't turned out very well. This one was good. But Cena and Sabu made this match. The two put on a great show and even had some great hardcore spots. Props to Sabu for putting Cena over with a tap out loss to the STFU.

5 on 2 Handicap Match
D-Generation X def. The Spirit Squad

The heavily advertised return of D-Generation X finally came and it was very great to see. HHH and HBK reunited their tag team of the attitude era and took on five young wrestlers in the Spirit Squad. The match was as humorous as it was entertaining and it was a great way to close out another RAW pay-per-view.

Overall: The return of DX drove this PPV but three lame matches (two of which were back-to-back) brought the mood down at points. The Championship matches were great as was Cena vs Sabu and DX vs the Spirit Squad. Still it was better than a Smackdown event (as all RAW PPVs are) and was a very, very good card.
